San Antonio named top place to invest by NuWire Investor (Economy : San Antonio) 12/19/2007 |
San Antonio came out on top, out of 98 cities nationwide, in a recent article by NuWire Investor which ranked the top ten places to invest in 2007. The rankings considered population, job growth, home values, vacancy rates and unemployment rates. They also considered affordability, which was determined by comparing median income for the area to average expenses. San Antonio - the largest city on the list - was given a perfect ten on its affordability and rent strength. San Antonio had the second-highest job growth on the list, at 8.87 percent from 2000 to 2006. Texas is very well represented on the list of the top ten places to invest, with Garland, Lubbock, Laredo and Fort Worth also making the cut. [San Antonio Express-News] |
